Since launching Tillington Top Fruit in 2018, our main objective has been to modernise the existing orchards.

We have already undertaken an extensive program of modernisation, which has included replanting the old orchards with more commercial apple varieties such as Jazz, Gala and Pink Lady.

We have continued to invest in the project in 2021 and have recently added three self-propelled, apple picking platforms that will help us to reduce labour requirements.

We have also invested in a mini conveyor to minimise bruising while fruit is transferred to boxes.

Investments such as these are enabling us to drive quality and efficiency across our operation and will help us to achieve our goal of increasing production from 4,000 to 10,000 bins per season in the next 3-5 years.
