Cherries
We grow 8 different cherry varieties that are picked from mid June to early August. They are grown under polytunnels so that we can control the risks associated with the weather. This picking season fits in very nicely with our apple crop.
Apples
We grow 12 different apple varieties that spread picking from mid August to mid October. Generally our early varieties such as Discovery and Raspberry Ripple are sold straight away as they are best eaten straight from the tree.
Our longer term storing apples varieties such as Gala, Junami and Red Prince are processed to be in supermarkets from November through until April/May, therefore extending the English season. We grow over 2500 tonnes of eating apples each year.
