Eric took over the running of the family business with his wife in 1979. He has since led EC Drummond through various stages of growth, building a diverse set of enterprises that compliment each other from a financial and management perspective. As Chairman, Eric oversees all divisions and performance while offering guidance to the next generation of farmers in the Drummond family.
Director - Arable & Fruit
Ben studied at Harper Adams University graduating in the early 2000s. He subsequently took the opportunity to work within the produce sector, both in the UK and abroad, before returning to the family business. In his role as director, Ben manages the production and marketing aspects of our arable, soft fruit and top fruit operations, while also overseeing our administration and recruitment departments.
Director - Poultry
Sam studied at Harper Adams University graduating with an HND in Agriculture in 2011. Having gained experience working within the major UK poultry integrators, he returned to the family business taking over all aspects of our poultry production. Sam manages three production specialists who cover the farms throughout our geographic area. Sam has oversight of our biomass facilities which are integral to our poultry production and is responsible for managing the increasing use of solar power across our sites.
Having trained at PricewaterhouseCoopers, Alun qualified as a chartered accountant in 1999. He has 25 years’ experience working in and managing finance teams in various industries including Food Manufacturing, Property, Self Storage, Agriculture and Publishing. Alun joined the EC Drummond team two years ago and splits his time equally between finance, administration and analysis for all businesses within the group.
