Eric said: "We recently had a barbeque organised by our student manager Imelda Keturkai to say thank you for all the hard work, and prizes of champagne were given to the best pickers, who were: Mykola Horobets, Serghey Tsundra, Sergey Lukov all from the Ukraine, Marlyana Metodieva from Bulgaria, Catalin Marin from Rumania, Alesiya Hepeyenko from Belarus, and Miroslava from Slovakia.
All the students here are studying in their home countries for degrees including agriculture, engineering or business qualifications and they come over here, through a government agency scheme, to earn enough money to help them through their studies.
They are a great bunch of youngsters who work very hard." added Eric.
They use the town of Ross regularly and they tell me that they find the local people very friendly.
We all had a great party, involving tug of war, how many you can get into a minibus, and all this was accompanied by music and good food, we owe a big thank you to Imelda and all the team."
