Arable division
All on one site
Our arable farming operation is centred at Homme Farm where workshop, grading
and storage facilities are situated. |
Several clear span buildings are available for use on the
farm with substantial storage that enables us to maximise returns for our produce
by selling when prices are higher.
| The objective of our rotation policy is to maximise our root crop and first
wheat production by building strong fertility into the soil. |

A wide range of machinery is operated within the business.
Where possible each operator is responsible for his own machinery maintenance
and repairs. However a self-employed
mechanic is on hand to keep our equipment up to the required
standard. In addition to maintaining the arable crops the labour and machinery
of the arable division are also used substantially to support the other areas
of the business.
